Are you interested in how social contexts affect the development of children, adolescents and young adults? Do you want to make a difference in the well-being of young people? The Master’s track Youth at Risk prepares you to become a scientist-practitioner in the field of preventive youth care, parenting and education, to enhance the development of youth at risk.
This year, you won’t be able to attend any busy on-campus events with lots of people. But our online Open House is the perfect way to get to know UvA study programmes and university life from the comfort of your own home.
Every study programme has an Open House page with videos, FAQs and live events. On the main Open House website you can discover all our programmes, explore the city and campus, and get inspired during our theme weeks.
In this Master's track you will develop advanced insight into both typical and atypical development of children and adolescents, and into the multiple complex ways in which major social contexts - parents, peers, school, - work to influence this development. You will also learn about youth who are at risk for problems in their development, and how preventive interventions work to counter developmental risks and foster resilience.
