    Jan Rotmans (1986) is a PhD candidate at the history department of the University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on the relationship between historical awareness and political thought at the end of the eighteenth century in the Dutch Republic. The research project is funded by the program 'Promoties in the Geesteswetenschappen' of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).
