Gwendolyn Stuitje - Econometrics track
'There was one thing I was quite sure about in high school: I knew I wanted to study in Amsterdam. Which study was still vague, but that it would be in Amsterdam was evident. After some research it became clear that the UvA was the right university for me. The campus is located in the heart of the city and besides a great academic programme in Econometrics, the UvA is a liberal university that offers many ways to develop yourself in different areas.'
'My expectations about the Master’s programme were obviously formed by my experiences with the bachelor: I already knew most of the lecturers and students that I would see in the Master’s. However, new national and international students joined the group and this created an even more dynamic vibe. The courses are challenging and there are many electives that lead to an even more comprehensive view of econometrics.'
'For 1 year I was a board member at the VSAE: the study association for Bachelor and Master students in Actuarial Science, Econometrics and Operational Research & Management. The association offers a diverse programme of events and activities throughout the year. It is active in publications, congresses, career events, personal/skill development, social events and study trips.'
