Rules and regulations

Amsterdam Law School

There are multiple regulations that are important to you as a student. For example, how much time teacher gets to grade your exam or how many courses you can take per semester. On this page you find descriptions of the most important regulations and where you can find more information about them.

  • Students' Charter

The UvA Students' Charter describes the rights and obligations of both students and the university. It consists of a general part applying to all students at the UvA and a part for specific disciplines.

  • Transitional arrangements

Changes are made to the curricula of law schools almost every year. There are transitional arrangements for students who started a programme before a change took place and who may have problems with their study programme as a result. You can find the transitional arrangements in the UvA Course Catalogue.
