I am Associate Professor Communication Science at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) and the College and Graduate School of Communication Science. I am the representative and prospective Principal Investigator in the Netherlands for Wave 7 of the World Values Survey in 2021 (see http://www.worldvaluessurvey.org/wvs.jsp).
Also, I am Program Group Director of the research group Corporate Communication (see http://www.corpcomm.nl/). My research involves the influence of media use and media content on the development of modern, emancipative values and freedom. I started working as a communication scientist following a career in public relations amongst others at Schiphol Group/Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
