Dirk Korf is professor by special appointment of Criminology, in particular criminal policy research. He specialises in emperical research on hard-to-reach groups. Korf’s research focuses on developments and patterns in drug use and drug trafficking, partly in relation to drug policy and from an international perspective.

Arian van Asten

Prof. Arian van Asten

Arian van Asten is professor of Forensic Analytical Chemistry and On-Scene Chemical Analysis. His research focuses on forensic investigations of explosives and drugs of abuse, forensic toxicology and forensic microtrace analysis including glass, fibers and gunshot. Van Asten worked at the Netherlands Forensic Institute for 12 years and has extensive knowledge about the role of the forensic expert and the added value of forensic investigations in criminal investigations.
